Mental Health

The Mental Health and Addictions service at The Huntercombe Group

The Huntercombe Group has a reputation for excellence in our dedicated centres for mental illness, which includes addictions and eating disorders. Because the services are very different, we provide separate units for each group. Individually tailored treatment takes place in a positive and safe environment which nurtures hope and recovery and helps patients take control of their lives.

Huntercombe are also recognised leaders due to the calibre, dedication and experience of our team, who are highly regarded in their specialist areas. We take a multi-disciplinary approach, bringing together the wide-ranging expertise of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, physiotherapists, educators, nurses and care staff. A high-staff to patient ratio is key.

Patients can only be admitted by referral from their NHS Consultant, or if required to be detained under the Mental Health Act. However adults seeking treatment for addiction may contact our centre directly. In all our services, we respect the dignity and rights of our patients, addressing their religious, cultural and ethnic requirements under the Children's Act and Mental Health Act.
