Business Manager

37.5 hrs per week and salary, 23-25K, dependent upon experience

We are looking for an experienced Business Office Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the Financial Administration function and Marketing activities within our 39 bedded unit. As Manager of a small department the role will encompass both hands-on and management activities with the goal of providing accurate information to externally determined deadlines.

You will manage the referral system within the hospital, liaising with both the clinical team and funders to ensure an effective admission process and you will also be pro-actively liaising with funders to ensure their contractual funding obligations are met. Other responsibilities will include payroll, sales and purchase ledgers, cash handling analysis of management accounts.

You must have relevant experience in a similar position, excellent organisational skills, self-prioritising meeting deadlines and multi-tasking skills. You will have the ability to communicate on all levels; external and internal to the hospital. You will have an eye for detail and an ability to analyse and able to work on your own and also part of a team.

You must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Educated to a good level and Maths is essential (at least O-level/GCSE). Intermediate Excel skills and have a solid understanding of other Office software.

Senior Occupational Therapist

Location: The Huntercombe Hospital - Roehampton

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week at an annual salary of £32,000.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team which consists of OTs, technical instructors, and sports therapists.

Reporting to the Head Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for deputising for her in the day-to-day running of the department.  As well as this you will hold your own clinical caseload on a male low secure ward, running a variety of group and individual programmes.

We have excellent facilities in our therapy department including a gym, therapy kitchen, art room and group room.  We support and encourage continuing professional development.   

The successful candidate will have experience in mental health and of working at a senior level, including supervising staff.

We are looking to appoint an RMN for a full time role of 37.625 hours per week at an hourly rate of £15.21 and an RGN for a part time role of 21.5 hours per week at an hourly rate of £14.82.

Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Acute Psychiatry or Physical Disability experience is desirable, but not essential.  We have a comprehensive in house training programme, and a commitment to your training and development. 

You will be expected to be an effective communicator, both written and oral, to play an active role within the inter-disciplinary team, flexible and demonstrate commitment to continuous quality improvement in the delivery of both nursing care and rehabiliation.

Lead Occupational Therapist

Blackheath consists of 2 units, which are both part of the London Specialised Neuro-Rehabilitation Consortium:-

The Heathside Neuro Disability Unit (18 beds) which provides rehabilitation for those with Complex Physical / Neuro disability requirements.

The Thames Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (16 beds) which provides rehabilitation for those Challenging behaviours.

The post offers the opportunity to take the lead role in managing the OT services to patients with ABI, movement and neurological disorders, and to contribute to wider service developments.  You will join a growing multidisciplinary team committed to client centred rehabilitation, staff development and evidence based practice.

Full-time 37.5 hours p/w. Salary - circa £37,000 depending on experience

Qualifications

BSc or recognised postgraduate diploma in Occupational Therapy

Registered member of HPC

Member of BAOT

Member of NANOT

Minimum 6 years experience in Occupational Therapy with minimum -4 years in working with adults with neurological disorders

Excellent communication skills at all levels

Intermediate knowledge of IT

Experience in managing uniprofessional or multiprofessional teams

Good knowledge of clinical governance issues

CPD related to brain injury rehabilitation e.g. attendance at course in cognitive rehabilitation, seating for people with neurological impairments, splinting in neurology, etc

Clinical Psychologist

Fulltime 37.5 hours per week

Salary £35,525

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to work in our Adolescent Mental Health Unit and Eating Disorder Unit and Eating Disorder Unit.

The Huntercombe Maidenhead Hospital Mental Health Service provides a highly specialised adolescent service dealing with serious mental illness including eating disorders, early onset psychosis, severe depression and complex PTSD. We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist who enjoys the challenge of working with young people suffering from these conditions. You will be part of an able and well staffed team specialising in the care of these young people with complex needs.

The job will involve providing psychological assessment, consultation and support to the multidisciplinary team, and individual and group therapy in an in patient setting.  You will be part of the therapy service where 7 therapists are employed with a wide range of interests and training.

Training in evidence based therapies would be an advantage.

Research interests will be supported and encouraged.
